With all the blogs of our crazy adventures, it is probably hard to believe that we occasionally live a normal day to day life :)! I know I am so behind with my posts because I have been off on crazy adventures with the Stoddard family and my mommy visiting, but here is a little peak into our boring escapades during the week until I get the next few posts up!
2/27/12 – Melbourne, Australia
It was nice being back at school today especially because
the kids were so excited to see me back in the classroom with them. What a great feeling to be gone for a
week and have the kids all still remember my name and ask about how my camping
trip was!
2/28/12 – Melbourne, Australia
Tonight was $10 Tuesday movie night! Tommy and I decided that we would switch
off planning our Tuesday night date as a surprise for the other. There are village cinemas all over
Melbourne, so I picked a new one in South Yarra/Richmond on the popular Chapel
Street to try a new theatre and have a fun place to get some grub after the
movie. As always we shared our
popcorn and coke slushy, which is a tradition we started at Bucknell.
2/29/12 – Melbourne, Australia
Tonight was the last Queen Victoria Market as it is held
solely over summer because of the warm weather permitting this great outdoor,
live band setting. It was great
luck that we caught word of this before the summer was over because we took
advantage of going every Wednesday, which not only was great food, but a good
way to get out of the house and doing something fun in the middle of the work
week!
3/1/12 – Melbourne, Australia
IT IS ALREADY MARCH!
I know I always say this, but time is really flying by faster than I can
keep up with.
As always I had a great Thursday at school for my favorite
day of the week!
I decided to plan another fun surprise date for Tommy this
week and packed up a nice picnic to have for dinner at the Moonlight Cinema in
the Botanical Gardens.
Unfortunately the rain popped in to take a wiz on the lovely grass we
were planning on sitting on, so we passed on the date and instead curled up on
the couch for a nice movie in the warmth of my house.
3/2/12 – Melbourne, Australia
Tonight we went out for drinks with our friend Pete that
we met through Gina. As we walked
up to the bar excited to meet Pete’s friends, I think we were both completely
surprised to find ourselves sitting with a bunch of old geezers… Pete is 30, but his work companions
were all late 30s and 40s! No
thank you! Needless to say I felt
pretty out of place, and Tommy and I cracked up as soon as we turned the corner
to walk home.
